ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Geranium Leaf Essentials was founded on the belief that we are in need of a simpler way of life, a life that gets us back to nature, where we will find ourselves enriched and enlightened. Our motto is "Nature's Essence for your Bath & Body", and we intend to stand by it. Geranium Leaf Essentials products are earth and human friendly, manufactured using only those ingredients necessary for producing the intended result. We do not use dyes in most of our products, so you will note that all lotions, no matter the scent, are white. The majority of soaps obtain their coloration from their ingredients alone. Packaging is recyclable, either through recycling facilities or reuse in our homes.

We need to help Mother Earth and keep her green and healthy, and we can start in our own homes, in our own lives, with the products we use and the way in which we use them. We need to be aware that every action has a consequence and appreciate what nature has always provided.

By that same token, we need to respect ourselves and understand the consequences in the way we treat our bodies and our minds. As a start, Geranium Leaf Essentials offers products that nourish the skin in a healthy, natural way and thus, in the long run, encourage a sense of well-being.

Our products are made from the finest ingredients available to us and filled with the goodness of nature, including botanical extracts, essential oils, dried flowers and pureed vegetables. Our products are made from renewable resources, from plant matter. We offer soy wax candles, soaps made from honey, with hemp oil, soybean oil, green tea extract, and many other wonderful ingredients. We offer lip balm made with soy and beeswax, lotions blended with botanical extracts, perfumes whose scents float in natural jojoba oil, and more.

SOAPS

Geranium Leaf Essentials soaps are rich in lather and gentle to the skin. Scented and specialty soaps are made with a simple process and are full of rich emollients and wonderful fragrance. They come in aloe vera, green tea, honey, soya milk, olive oil bases and more. Our hand-milled (also known as French-milled) soaps are made with a more complex process and filled with nature's goodness from essential oils to dried flowers to pureed vegetables. These soaps are milled and mixed by hand, limiting the batches to short runs. For that reason our hand-milled soaps may occasionally be back-ordered. We also offer Certified Organic Soaps, made in a 200 year old time-honored tradition and using certified organic oils, essential oils, and gentle, natural ingredients.

Birch Oil - The Swedish people have long used birch oil for dry skin and skin ailments. Sweet Birch Oil has been added to this soap, with the additional benefit of giving it a sweet birch beer scent! - $4.89

LOTION

Geranium Leaf Essentials lotions are soothing and moisturizing, without feeling greasy. They are blended with botanical extracts and without the addition of lanolin (which can sometimes cause allergic reactions). Available in a variety of fragrances, Geranium Leaf Essentials lotions are packaged in 4 oz. and 6 oz. recyclable plastic bottles and complement most of our soap fragrances. Lotion bars are also available in a variety of fragrances. Made with soybean oil, beeswax, sunflower oil, cocoa and shea butters and enriched with vitamin E, they are perfect for rough, chapped skin, dry heels, knees and elbows. And by the way, as they aren't liquid, lotion bars are perfect for taking with you on your next airline trip!

LOTION SCRUBS

Geranium Leaf Essentials Facial Scrub and Foot Scrub are made with the same wonderful ingredients as our lotion. The facial scrub has the added benefit of extra soybean oil and exfoliating jojoba meal. The facial scrub is unscented, possessing its own creamy fragrance. The foot scrub has an addition of tea tree oil and is scented with a sweet lemon fragrance.

PERFUME

Geranium Leaf Essentials perfumes are of two varieties. Natural Jojoba Pulse Point Perfumes (shown at right in 1/3 ounce bottles), which are applied to pulse points for a personal, non-invasive presence. Each essential oil or fragrance oil perfume requires a gentle shake of the bottle before application to re-mix the blend. Natural Solid Wax Perfumes come in a 1/2 ounce pot and are somewhat stronger in scent. The warmth of your finger softens the wax enough to adhere to your fingertip for transfer to your skin.

Black Amber & Lavender

A sophisticated fragrance that blends rustic Amber with Lavender. Underlying these focus scents are a Black Myrrh, vanilla Tonka bean and a splash of Egyptian Musk. Earthy, with hints of sweetness and floral notes.

LIP BALM & BUTTERS

Geranium Leaf Essentials Lip Balms and Butters are made with a minimum of ingredients, all of which are good for your skin. Lip Balms are made with soybean oil, beeswax, sunflower oil, cocoa and shea butters and enriched with vitamin E. To these ingredients are added fabulous flavor oils and they are then packaged in either a push-up tube or pot. Lip Butters consist of olive oil, candelilla, carnauba and beeswax. These ingredients are then combined with either edible essential oils or flavor oils and come in lip butter pots only. All are available in Strawberry Banana, Vanilla Peach, Boysenberry, Raspberry Vanilla, Wild Berry, Melon Splash and Blueberry. Passionfruit Rose is available in the Lip Butter only.

MASSAGE OILS

Geranium Leaf Essentials Massage Oils are silky smooth on the skin. "Edible" oils are made with sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil and flavoring. They come in 2 oz. PET bottles with a flip top for easy dispensing. Although the ingredients are quite edible, consumption is meant for a lick or two, not the entire contents of the bottle. If you are allergic to peanuts, DO NOT use this oil due to the possibility of a reaction to the sweet almond oil. Essential oil massage oils are packaged in glass due to the effect of essential oils on plastic. They are meant to be used sparingly, but have the same silky feel as the "edible" oils. Essential oils are reputed to have aroma-therapeutic effects and have been reported to reduce stress, muscle aches, headache, and more. The carrier oils in these massage oils are apricot kernel, grapeseed and evening primose oil.

The Foot Massage Oil is scented with eucalyptus mint essential oils. In addition to sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil, the foot massage oil also contains soybean oil and tea tree oil, the latter of which is said to have anti-fungal properties--great for toe nails and itchy feet. With any of these oils, DO NOT use if you are allergic to peanuts. However, if you would like to purchase any of the oils made with a substitute for the sweet almond oil, kindly contact me to arrange that purchase. Additionally, use caution with all essential oils if you are pregnant, and keep out of the reach of children. Some of these smell quite delicious and little ones might mistakenly believe they can eat them!

SOY WAX CANDLES

Geranium Leaf Essentials makes all candles with soy wax, a renewable resource that not only promotes the American farmer, but enhances scent throw, burns cleaner than paraffin candles, and is environmentally friendly. Scented with botanical fragrance oils or essential oils, these candles use lead-free, zinc-free wicks. Available in 8 oz. tins (shown above) or 10 oz. apothecary jars with flat glass lids. The 10 oz. apothecary jars are also available without wicks for use with candle warmers.
